    That really is genius! I would just have to be careful not to smudge them on the card ride over to Grandma's! Either that or bring an extra piece of chalk.

    Thanks for this what a great idea! I found wooden unpainted gift tags at Roberts in the wood section came in a pack of a dozen assorted shapes and sizes.

    very cute! i also have chalkboard place cards from pottery barn that i purchased about 5 years ago, i'm surprised we don't see them more often too, because they are so convenient & reusable when i'm hosting dinners! plus they keep my kids mildly entertained at the table…
