tiny party favors ...

i just finished putting together these tiny party favor bags for my little norah's first birthday this week.

it's hard to tell, but these bags are about 4 inches tall, so they're pretty tiny.

i had so much fun finding tiny items to fill the tiny bags. this is what i came up with, and what would fit in a tiny little bag.

so, there are:
mini m&m's
tiny bubble gum
tiny chiclet gum
a party blower
a tiny watercolor set
a tiny crayon set
tiny laffy taffy
tiny magnifying glass
tiny bottle of bubbles

then, i used a tiny clothes pin decorated with happy tape to close the top.

i hope norah and her tiny cousins like it!

tiny party invitations ...

after seeing this darling tiny party, i knew i had to throw my little norah a tiny party for her first birthday.

i've been storing ideas ever since, and i am now actually getting it all together for my tiny norah's first birthday next week. i can't believe she's almost one?!

i finally finished the tiny invitations and almost have them all delivered for her family party. [we have big families between the two of us, so all our parties end up being family parties with cousins, aunts, uncles, grandma's, and grandpa's!]

i made the invitation in photoshop and printed them out, then added tiny bunting with happy tape. the invitations ended up being about the size of a business card and were tucked into a teeny tiny envelope. i tied a magnifying glass to the front with bakers twine. [a darling idea i saw here]

hello ...

hello!

so sorry about not posting.

i am up to my elbows in projects. painting, painting, and more painting. but, i will share soon i promise! things are starting to come together on my office/studio, so i'm excited to get things in a nice working order so i can have some organization while i work. plus, my chairs finally came back in stock and they should be delievered soon! it will be nice to have chairs instead of a way too tall stool where i kill my back.

anyhow, i thought i'd show you a darling bag i picked up at the bijou market from freshly picked. isn't the bow awesome? yes, i said awesome..

garlic-thyme mini burgers ...

my latest post for the zupas blog is up.

i am sharing a recipe for these amazing garlic-thyme burgers.

they pack tons of flavor, and fresh thyme in a nice grilled hamburger is amazing!

i made them mini-sized and used some tiny hard rolls from the bakery. they are too cute if you ask me! and, a hit with the kiddos!

striped tops ...

i love these striped bow neck quarter length sleeve tops.

i may have bought one in every color... and, two navy blue ones.

why? because i wear them all the time and wore out my other favorite ones from a few years ago, so i figure i'd better stock up until another cute batch comes along.

and, for $10.50 a pop... why not?

thanks to all who supported us locals at the bijou market last saturday. and, a special thanks to those who bought my armelle jewelry!

the location was perfect! very fun!

i also came away with some fun goods! how can you not?

i've put a few of the new items in my shop, but keep checking back, because i'll be adding more everyday.

...now...

it's officially summer for me now that all my shows are over for a little bit!

i'm looking forward to the sun, pool, and projects, projects, projects! you wouldn't believe how many things i have sitting around that need to be painted...

my wallpaper ...

i've had a lot of people email me requesting the source of the wallpaper in my studio.

the wallpaper is by schumacher, and it is called birds and butterflies.

schumacher can only be ordered through a designer, and can be a little pricey.

but, if you are interested, i would contact my girl caitlin creer, she can get you the best price!

i love the ornate little details and the floral ones as well.

the colors are perfect, they go with everything i've been wearing these days. they are only $12, and they are sterling silver posts, so they are high quality and perfect for sensitive ears!

i picked up this fun cast iron martha stewart pot over the weekend at the macy's memorial day sale.

i have a love for le creuset, but, it's just not in the right price range at the moment.

don't you just love the yellow!

have any of you tried out the martha stewart cast iron pots? you like? does it compare to le creuset?
