November 10, 2009

i was more than thrilled to receive an email from carrie, the editor of apartment therapy’s children blog ohdeedoh, asking to do a tour of norah’s nursery!

her curiousity was peeked when i posted a little sneak peek of norah’s nursery a while back.

here’s a mini tour of the nursery. for more pictures, and information on how i put it together, check out the nursery tour and interview over on ohdeedoh, click here.

and, for more pics, you can always go to my flickr page, here.

I love the nursery, it's so beautiful! I am wondering about the fabric used in one of the hopps – it's the animal print in the lower right. My mom recently picked up a bib made with this pattern and have been looking for it ever since! Can you tell me more about it, if you don't mind? Thanks! And again, beautiful job!

Love the nursery! I was wondering where you got your crib bumpers. I too am using several busy fabrics and want the bumpers to be plain white. This is harder to find than I thought it would be. Could you tell me where you found yours?
    Thanks!

    hi allison.

the bumpers are from pottery barn. they have a pink edge to them. the curtain/valance is actually a table runner from pier one that i used as a valance.

    thanks!

This makes me want another baby….specifically a girl. But, since I have a 3 year old and 1 year old…yeah, better not.
But, I love everything about this room! Hope you don't mind, but I linked to you I loved it so much! Great job…and 8 months pregnant while doing it? Even more amazing.

This nursery is adorable!! I found it a couple of months ago, and used it as color inspiration for my daughter's room, who we just adopted a couple of weeks ago. I hope you don't mind but I posted a pic of your room on my blog since it was part of the inspiration for mine. 🙂 I also did the fabric swatch project from The Purl Bee, thanks to your post. 🙂 Thanks for posting these pics!

I love your yellow crib!! I would like to paint a crib and I was wondering what needs to be done so that the painted crib is safe for the baby. Thanks!

LOVE THIS NURSERY! Our baby is due in a week and we still don't have a crib bc the husband and I just can't find one we both love… until now! I know you spray painted the crib, did you sand before hand? And how did you finish it off afterwards? THANK YOU for the tips!!
