DIY // salad spinner spider web art …

October 20, 2012

Halloween is almost here!  My children and I wanted to make some fun Halloween art, so we decided to make some spider webs using our salad spinner and paint to throw out some cool webs!
It was a lot of fun for them to make, and they were able to be really hands on during the project, and do pretty much all of it themselves!

After you gather a few supplies, it really is simple to do!

They loved to spin that salad spinner round, and round and round!
Be sure to check out my full step by step tutorial over on my post for Hellobee!
Happy Halloween!

DIY // Ombré Caramel Apples

October 16, 2012

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year!  And, with fall comes apple season!  What is more fall than caramel apples?

I was recently asked by Orson Gygi to come with a recipe for their tasty Peter’s Caramel, so I decided go with the ombré trend!  So, ombré caramel apples it was!

You only need a few ingredients!

Be sure to check out the full tutorial, pictures, and instructions over on my post for Hellobee.

french-inspired party: watercolor invitations

October 13, 2012

I can’t believe that I haven’t shared details of my little Norah’s third birthday party that was in July?!
Time sure does fly by, and things get busy.

I wanted to first share her invitations with you.  I decided to go with a French-inspired theme for the party.  And, since France is full of talented artists, I decided to do watercolor invitations.

I printed black in onto watercolor paper, and used the watercolors to spruce up the invitations.

Be sure to check out the instructions, and full details on how I made the invitations over on my post on the Hellobee blog.

I’ll be sure to share more of the party soon!
