My family just got back from an amazing “Staycation” at Deer Valley Resort!  The weekend before Valentine’s Day, we try to do a little staycation to spend time together, unplug, and create new memories and experiences as a family!  I am a huge quality time person, so what better way to show your family that you love them, than spend an entire weekend together doing something that you love! We absolutely love to go to Deer Valley because it not only is a nearby high class ski resort, but they also provide amenities like none other!  The Deer Valley difference is real, and here are just a few of the reasons we love to go to Deer Valley!

We decided to escape to the desert for Fall Break this year, and it was the perfect getaway!  The temperatures were in the 80’s and 90’s, the kids got to swim to their hearts content, and we got to explore a new city as a family!  Palm Springs is a bit of a hidden gem!  It was once considered a sleepy retiree town, it is now a retro-chic destination that is also very family friendly, not to mention the entire place is so photogenic and Instagrammable!  Seriously, beautiful mid-century architecture, amazing dining experiences, outdoor hiking, a national park, shopping, it really has it all!

If you are in Utah and are looking for something fun to do this Labor Day weekend, the Solider Hollow Classic Sheepdog Championship is a great option!

These world class sheepdog’s are highly impressive with their skills, and dedication!  It was our first time going to the event as a family, and we couldn’t believe they were able to control those sheep like that!

Another event my kids liked the best is the Splash Dogs!  We loved watching the dogs try to jump out the furthest into the water!  Even the little dogs were fun to watch!

There was a lot to see including the Sheepdogs, Splash Dogs, Highland games, K9 Acrobatic Dog shows, Raptor bird shows, vendors, and food trucks!

We made a little vacation of it, and stayed at the Zermatt Resort nearby!  It was our first time staying up at the Zermatt, and it won’t be our last!  It is in the beautiful mountains of Midway, Utah.  The kids loved the pool, the free carousel rides, and the little bakery was so cute and tasty!

We love that there are so many family friendly activities to do here in Utah!
