i’ve been loving this frame idea from blueprint magazine [so sad it’s gone] since the issue came out.
i bought some cute frames from a thrift store to do my own mini version [well, months ago] so, i finally got around to doing it in my little nook in my entry way. i’m liking it, but i think it needs a few more frames at the bottom, but i’ll never find matching ones.. darn it.
here’s my version. can’t decide if i love it yet.
I love it!! Really neat, simple and funky. Keep it up for a while and see if you get used to it. Did you paint the frames?
I think it looks really cute. I love the idea…have always wanted to do it with old, funky plates. Thanks for always sharing your creative ideas. Have a great day!
Cute! I don’t think the frames need to match…maybe add a couple of chunky square ones.
Those are great frames – and I looove the colors!
very cute. I agree with jessica, the frames don’t need to, and probably shouldn’t anyway, match. square would be super cool! great blues!
i think a few solid frames that are bigger and don’t match would make it closer to the example photo. cute idea.
Ok, I know this is a really old post, but I am just now reading it. I found your blog through Oh Dee Doh's story on Norah's nursery…that room, BTW, inspired my daughter's nursery. ANYWAY…I saw this frame idea in Blueprint as well, and I did it in my living room. Anyway just wanted to say hi since we apparently have some similar decorating tastes! 🙂
