Anyone else feel like they need a laundry intervention? Yep. Me too! As a busy mom of three, it always seems like it is a struggle to keep up on the laundry! Just when I have things figured out, we get really busy, or go out of town, and the laundry just piles up! This is where I’d insert the monkey covering his face emoji! The struggle is real! Or in my case, the laundry pile!
Adding a little homemade detail to your Valentine’s Day decor doesn’t have to be difficult or intimidating. This Valentine’s Day Art takes less than 5 minutes, and is a great way to add some Valentine festivities to your Home Decor.
Placing extra touches of love around your home creates some excitement and helps to share the love. As long as you can cross your X’s and circle your O’s than you can create this DIY work of art! It is simple to make, and you can get creative as you want with the color combos, I loved this color combo from the Acrylic Paint Set form the Hand Made Modern Brand from Target.
Step One
Decide on your colors and what order you want them to go.
Step Two
Place the Art Paper under the mat, and secure it with tape. Keep the spacing in mind so that you have enough room.
Step Three
Paint your X’s and O’s
Step Four
Allow to dry and place in a frame.
Set up in your home, and share the love!
This would be great hung on a wall in a big huge frame, or set aside some tabletop Valentine’s Day decorations. You really can make it to any size you wish to fit your needs!
Well, there you have it! As easy as painting some X’s and O’s, but makes a big statement!
I love adding a few touches of holiday decor around the house to help get me into the Holiday Spirit, and this DIY is so simple, anyone could be an artist!
With Class Valentine’s Day Parties just around the corner, I wanted to share with you some ideas for some Non-Candy Classroom Valentine’s that my kids are giving out this year. I knew it would be a busy time of the year, so this year I decided to make it easy and order them from Minted. Minted has such a cute selection of Classroom Valentine’s, and you can come up with so many ideas on what to pair them with.
I love the Geo Heart Foil Valentine Card by Ana Sharpe. My favorite part about this Minted Card was that I was able to customize it to what I needed, and change the font to my liking. I ended up putting, “I think You’re Brilliant!” on the card. I thought that was a cute card to add a little mini Rubik’s cube (puzzle cube favor) that I found at Zurcher’s Party store. My little Norah is so excited to give them out to her class!
Ezra my third grader is quite the little sports lover. He loves Football, so this “All Star” Valentine from Minted was the perfect option! We paired it with a little mini football bouncy ball for his classmates. I loved the optional print on the back side of the card too. It was fun to customize each card with little details.
