Spring Cleaning Essentials Kit

This is sponsored advertising content from Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day. The opinions stated are my own.

It has been a long winter here in Utah.  Spring has finally arrived, and I am hoping it is here to stay!   A few ways I like to welcome Spring into my home is by filling the house with fresh plants and flowers, as well as fresh scents!

I am so thrilled to be partnering with Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day over the next few months! Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day is a brand that I have loved used in my home for years and years!  I love that their products that go down the drain are biodegradable, they are made with essential oils, and plant-derived ingredients, they are made without colors, ammonia, phthalates, chlorine bleach, paragons, phosphates, and even gluten!  I especially love how beautiful their packaging is, and it can fit nicely in my home while also being BPA free and recyclable!

As Spring is almost upon us, I love to switch out my hand soaps and dish soaps with some spring fragrances to bring a little freshness into my home after a long winter.

Along with the fresh scents from Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day, I love to add a little color and happiness to the house by adding a few beautiful fresh flowers and plants.  It is amazing how much it helps to brighten up the space!

Fresh Spring Flowers

With Spring just around the corner, it makes me want to freshen up the entire house, and of course a little Spring cleaning is also in order.  I decided to create a little Spring Cleaning Essentials Kit to give me a little motivation to get the job done, and fresh new cleaning supplies always help!

Here are the items you will need to make a DIY Spring Cleaning Kit for your home!

  • Mrs. Meyer’s Peony Hand Soap:  with aloe vera gel, olive oil, and a unique blend of essential oils, this soap not only smells good, but also helps keep my hard-working hands from drying out!
  • Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Lilac Dish Soap:  This Spring scented soap is rich, thick, and it makes grease disappear like nobody’s business.  I love to dilute it with water to wipe down my cupboards, clean out my sinks, and of course hand-washing my dishes and pots and pans. You only need to use just a tiny squirt or two, and you are good to go!
  • Micro Fiber Cloths:  I love to use Micro Fiber Cloths while cleaning!  They can be rinsed and re-used again, and again, then thrown in the washing machine.  I like to put a few drops of the Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Lilac Dish soap in a bucket of water then use the Micro Fiber Cloths to wipe down my doors, baseboards, door knobs, and light switches.  Those places that always seem to gather dust and hand prints.
  • Rubber Gloves:  I always throw in a pair of rubber gloves so that I can get deep into cleaning without my nails getting abused.
  • Sponges:  Sponges always come in handy, and are great to reuse over and over.  They come in handy when wiping out hard to clean areas like the microwave, and fridge.  I add a little Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Dish Soap and run the sponges under hot water.  That heat in addition to the dish soap really helps get after those areas with extra build-up.
  • Paper Towels:  I like to use paper towels for certain areas of my house, especially the bathroom.  When I’m cleaning toilets, areas with lots of germs, I’d rather throw out the mess when I’m done.
  • Duster: Dusters are always so helpful to deep Spring clean the house.  They are great for all surfaces, blinds and shutters, baseboards, and window sills!
  • All-purpose Spray:  Always good to have on hand to get surfaces cleaned!
  • Garbage Bags:  It seems garbage always piles up when you make your way around the house, so it is nice to have fresh bags ready to change out the trash bins.
  • Scrubbing Brush: For those hard to clean areas, I like to get a nice brush with bristles to get a nice deep clean.
