airplane party inspiration …

my little ezra’s 4th birthday is coming up right around the same time our new little baby boy is due.
i have been trying to get ahead and ready for his party in advance, because i anticipate that it will be a bit of a crazy time.  he has been so excited for his party, and asking me about when his birthday is everyday the past few months, so i still want to try to pull off a fun little party for him even though things will be a bit crazy with the new baby.

we ventured off to our local airplane air force museum a few weeks ago, to play and to look for a little inspiration.

we loved this blue and yellow airplane.  i saw it, and was sold on the color scheme.  i always like to have a color scheme when planning parties, because i feel like it is so much easier to get all the accessories together that way.

i also love the old school / vintage air force logos on all the vintage airplanes.  i am definitely going to be incorporating it into some of the party decorations.

and, of course these two had a blast running around wild…

it’s a BOY!!!

yep! we’re expecting baby #3! expected april 4, 2011!! (so, hopefully end of march!)

that makes me 23 weeks (5+ months) along this week, over half way! we are thrilled!

…we pulled off the double surprise for our families.. “surprise we’re expecting, and, surprise, it’s a boy!”

so glad to get this secret out in the open!
ezra is thrilled and has been wanting a brother. norah is still deciding …. when we ask her if she wants a baby brother she points to ezra, like she already has a brother. well, she’ll just have to be one tough little girl to be sandwiched in between two boys.

halloween 2010 …

we had a great halloween!
my little UPS man, and little red riding hood had a blast!  little red riding hood scored a lot of extra candy just for being so cute!
it was fun to see my little ezra so excited to trick or treat this year.  he would have gone all night if it weren’t rainy and cold.

we finally got a chance to carve our pumpkins.  my pumpkin was eating norah’s pumpkin.  i guess that is what happens when you go down for a nap during pumpkin carving.

and, i am officially off candy again, after so much candy, i need a break.  my poor children had their candy raided by their parents, but they didn’t seem to mind.  well candy,  it was fun while it lasted.
