Children's Fashion Janie and Jack

While on our Fall Break at the Four Seasons in Scottsdale, we got dressed up and headed out to dinner one night at Proof Canteen restaurant.  I love dressing my kids in clothing I love, that is also good quality that I know will last.  My kids can be rough on their clothing with how active they are, so quality kids clothing has always been important to me.  I have always loved Janie and Jack clothing for my children, and I’m excited to partner with them on this post!  They always have the cutest selection, and most importantly, it is such good quality!Children's Fashion Janie and JackBoys Clothing and Fashion Janie and Jack

We had a little time before dinner, and the kids just looked so darling that I had to snap a few photos of them.  Thomas was obviously thrilled, whenever I take out the camera, he is the first to protest.  No time to pause when you can party! Ha!  (Read more for full outfit details!)

When thinking of a warm vacation destination, the desert is often overlooked, but it is definitely something to consider.  Arizona is a great family vacation destination once the summer months are over, and the weather isn’t so extreme.  Scottsdale was the perfect place for our family to escape to on our Fall Break this year, and we enjoyed every minute of it!Four Season Resort Scottsdale Desert VacationFour Season Resort Scottsdale Desert VacationWe stayed at the gorgeous Four Seasons Resort at Troon North in Scottsdale. We were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the landscape of the desert was.  Right outside our room there was a beautiful little mountain filled with cacti and rocks, and it almost didn’t look real it was so perfect!Kids looking at the Balcony View wearing Janie and JackKids Outfits from: Janie and Jack

My kids enjoyed the warmer fall weather, and quickly got back into summer mode, swimsuits, flip flops and all.  A welcomed break from jackets, sweaters, and boots back home.  Bring on the Vitamin D!  We all enjoyed the desert air, and we quickly became more relaxed, and really were able to enjoy our time!

In my opinion, I don’t think the Desert gets near the attention is deserves.  Be sure to read on for 10 Reasons to Escape to the Desert for your next family vacation!Four Season Resort Scottsdale Desert Vacation

Things to do with 48 Hours in Sedona Arizona with Kids

Devil's Bridge Hike Sedona Arizona

Devil's Bridge Hike Sedona Arizona

Our Fall Break brought us down to Arizona this year, and it was nice to feel some of the warmth during the cooler Fall months at home in Utah.

Sedona Arizona Red Rock Desert LandscapeWe decided that we wanted to spend a few days in Sedona, Arizona since we have never been.  It ended up being a great time of year to go, it wasn’t too crowded and the weather was very  nice.  Warm in the days, but not too hot, and cooler at night.

We arrived via Oak Creek Canyon scenic drive, and were pleasantly surprised by the landscape.  Rather than just seeing red rocks, we saw some beautiful fall foliage as we were driving down the canyon.  Once we got into Sedona, we were able to see the beautiful landscape with the red rocks.

We were only in town for a few nights, but were still able to do a few fun things.  With a little less than 48 hours in Sedona, we were able to take in the beauty of Sedona, but also relax a little and enjoy our vacation as a family.  Sedona Arizona Red Rock Desert Landscape

With it being colder in our home state of Utah, once we got to Sedona, we knew the kids would be excited to spend some time outside, especially at the pool.  We knew that we wanted to book a family friendly hotel that also had some nice amenities for us to hang back, and enjoy some time enjoying the sunshine and the gorgeous views of the red rocks of Sedona.  View of Sedona from Orchards Inn

We loved Orchards Inn in Sedona, conveniently located right along the Highway in the Sedona with a huge variety of shops and restaurants.  We didn’t even need to take the car, it was just a few short steps to a lot of great options food and shopping wise.
